Dave recommends...
- Colorado Rockies Baseball (you know, if they are still playing)
- Rocky Mountain National Park: If you have not been there, a drive to (or through) Rocky Mountain National Park is highly recommended. If you have all day, you can drive in on the Grand Lake side and exit on the Estes Park side for dinner and shopping. I can give you a map to the spot where we got engaged!
- Estes Park, Colorado: Just outside the entrance to the Rocky Mountain National Park, Estes Park is one of my favorite Colorado towns, and it is only a little over an hour Denver. Shopping and a visit to the Stanley Hotel are key activities.
- The Stanley Hotel, Estes Park, Colorado: The Stanley Hotel was also the inspiration for Stephen King's novel "The Shining". Oh, and we stayed there the night we got engaged. Romantic, I know! Especially since they play "The Shining" 24 hours a day (and we watched it!). Be sure to sign up for a ghost tour!
- Denver Museum of Art: Got culture?
- Wynkoop Brewing Company: Denver's First Brew Pub
- Panera Bread Company: What do you mean it's a chain!?
